Why do we age,   get old, and die

  or just get sick,   even sick enough to die?

The first paragraph of lyrics:

Paul the Apostle never died.

He became immortal in a twinkle of an eye.

and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:

Isa 40:7  The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:

because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it:   surely the people is grass.

Job 14:2  Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.

When they would have heard the song

the Spirit of the Lord would had yearned out to them

from within their Hearts.
