Acts 8:35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

Acts 8:36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

Acts 8:37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Acts 8:38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

Acts 8:39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

Act 8:40 But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

Comment: Concerning the people of Ashdod, I can only say their human presence was not common, it was powerful. And Philip was up graded in Spirit to be one of them.

  1. Ashdod or Azotus G108 = "a stronghold"

1. one of the five chief cities of the Philistines, lying between Ashkelon and Jamnia and near the Mediterranean

Of Hebrew origin אַשְׁדּוֹד (H795) Meaning: "powerful"

  1. Ashdod = "powerful"

From <https://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/Lexicon/Lexicon.cfm?strongs=G108&t=KJV>

the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, and Philip and the Eunuch were in the desert and the instant it happened, the Eunuch was probably wiping the water away from his eyes, and the Eunuch  never saw Philip again.

caught away G726

The KJV translates Strong's G726 in the following manner: catch up (4x), take by force (3x), catch away (2x), pluck (2x), catch (1x), pull (1x).

Outline of Biblical Usage [?]

  1. to seize, carry off by force
  2. to seize on, claim for one's self eagerly
  3. to snatch out or away

Philip's Spirit was upgraded, in reference to "Caught Up", "Snatched Away", Jesus only uses the word "Taken" in Matthew 24:40/41 and Luke 17:34/35/36

Matthew 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

Matthew 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Matthew 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Matthew 24:41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Matthew 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

"To be Caught Up", Snatched Away", "Taken", will only happen during one of the "Watch Hours", there's no other time it will ever happen.

Luke 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

Luke 17:29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

Luke 17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Luke 17:31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.

Luke 17:32 Remember Lot's wife.

Luke 17:33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it;

and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

Genesis 31:6 And ye know that with all my power I have served your father.

Genesis 31:7 And your father hath deceived me, and changed my wages ten times; but God suffered him not to hurt me.

Genesis 31:40 Thus I was; in the day the drought consumed me, and the frost by night; and my sleep departed from mine eyes.

Genesis 31:41 Thus have I been twenty years in thy house; I served thee fourteen years for thy two daughters, and six years for thy cattle: and thou hast changed my wages ten times.

Genesis 31:42 Except the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely thou hadst sent me away now empty. God hath seen mine affliction and the labour of my hands, and rebuked thee yesternight.

Comment: Laban had a Wealthy Man "Jacob Mindset" and did not prosper, like he wanted to. He probably had his share of "Jacob's Trouble", because of his mindset. He was Jacob's boss for 20 years. The Just, Creator GOD in his Wisdom, purged Jacob from his own mindset by afflicting him by Laban using his Mindset to continually deceive Jacob of his wages for 20 years.

Genesis 32:27 And he (the Angel) said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.

Genesis 32:28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

Genesis 32:24 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man (Angel) with him until the breaking of the day.

Genesis 32:25 And when he (the Angel) saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.

Genesis 32:26 And he(the Angel) said, Let me go, for the day breakouts. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

Genesis 32:27 And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.

Genesis 32:28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

PRAISE GOD

Rev 6:14 is the reason to "Praise GOD" about the End Time of this World.

Rev 6:13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

Rev 6:14 And the Heaven departed as a Scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

If GOD will and did in Acts snatch Philip away, on an individual bases.   [ "the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip", that the eunuch saw him no more],  Then Why Would GOD not Snatch Away a communty/ies of Saints in so great of danger of incoming peril?

Comment: In Luke, he that was  "taken" received a upgrade in Spirit/Soul, to be with those with "Eagles Mindsets" Keep in mind the Gospel of Luke is for the most part, those with Israel's Mindset. Keep in mind, again, Jacob upgraded in Spirit to become "Israel."

There is a parallel between what happened to Philip when the Lord caught him away, and  him in the Gospel of Luke, that received the upgrade in Spirit to be with those with Eagle's Mindsets. and Jacob receiving continual upgrades of Spirit, as he is going through the "Purging of his Mindset Process" by working for his father-in-law Laban.
