Mat 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
My Prayer Closet
1 Samual 12:23
Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:
Note: "closet" is a room, any area with as little mental distraction as possible.
Note: "And when thou hast shut the door, pray to the father which is in secret"
This is the hard part: The idea is to shut the door to those insuficient thoughts of recent activity from racing through your mind so the spiritual thoughts of your holy intentions can began to manifest in your mind.
As for myself, it takes about 45 min. to "Shut the Door" to those worldly thoughts from dominating my mind.
If you work around secular people from who knows where they are from, as I do, you will go home from your job with secular intentions. Not a good thing if you are striving to be A Man of GOD, like I am.
